ASSA PRESIDENT & CEO ROGER CAMP ANNOUNCES POSITION CHANGE

It has been a privilege to serve as Director for Strategic Development – Surface Warfare Programs at General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems Group (GA-EMS), a founding member of ASSA. This week, I’m excited to announce that I have accepted an invitation from CEO Mike Smith to join his team at Hanwha Defense USA, Inc. in a newly created position as Senior Director for Business Development – Naval Programs. In thisrole, I will initially focus on supporting David Kim and his team at Hanwha Philly Shipyard as they work to broaden the market. If your companies have involvement in NMSVs, I’d love to hear from you! It’s a humbling thought to note that Philly-area shipbuilders rowed Durham boats across the Delaware on December 25-26, 1776, carrying General Washington and the forces that captured the Hessian garrison at Trenton. Later, they crossed again, defeating Lord Cornwallis in the subsequent battles of Trenton and Princeton. Serving this current generation of shipbuilders in Philly is an honor! I also want to take this opportunity to thank GA for allowing me to serve in the leadership role with ASSA. I plan to continue in this role with ASSA with my new employer.
