ASSA ANNUAL DC FLY-IN SET FOR THURSDAY, MARCH 26TH

To avoid a conflict with the dates for the ACIBC schedule, the ASSA board has set the date of the Annual DC Fly-in to Thursday, March 26th. We will have a reception on Wednesday, March 25^th at Bull Feathers from 5-7pm and then hit the Hill Thursday, March 26th from 9am – 5pm. The Congressional calendar is showing both the House and Senate are in session March 24, 25, 26, 27 with the 27^th being a Friday. Last year, we conducted 10 meetings with key members of Congress, and staff from HASC and SASC. This was critical timing for discussions about the SHIPS FOR AMERICA ACT. This year we want to address the recently released Maritime Action Plan.

Please contact us if you plan to join us for this fly-in and if you have specific members of Congress you would like for ASSA to target for a meeting. Paul Roden is working on updating our white paper now so let us know of any key issues that need to be addressed on behalf of your company, whether you can join us in person or not.
