MMA MEETING IN MISSISSIPPI ASSA members are invited by the members of the Marine Machinery Association (MMA) to attend a May meeting on Thursday, May 11th at General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems in Mississippi. The registration form is below. There will be a dinner on Wednesday, May 10th at 6pm at a restaurant in Tupelo, MS. And then the meeting will be at General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems Tupelo Manufacturing Facility on Thursday, May 11th from 8am – 1pm at 112 Bryan Blvd., Shannon, MS (just minutes from Tupelo). You would fly into the Memphis airport and take a car to Tupelo to participate and overnight at a Tupelo Hotel. The visitors guide below gives you available hotels and directions. This event is limited to only 30 people so if you do plan to attend, please get your registration in ASAP to MMA and by April 27th to get the member rate of $400.
ASSA DC FLY-IN The core Government Relations group of members from ASSA met with members of Congress the first week in March. We held 12 meetings and conducted follow up with members of Congress and staff from HASC and SASC to present the ASSA white paper and requests. We also met with the new Made in America Director, Livia Shmavonian. (The ASSA white paper is attached for your review.) We also provided members of Congress with specific examples from our members on how not passing legislation supporting shipbuilding suppliers will significantly impact your business. Thanks to the members who provided these case examples. We will continue follow-up as needed to advocate for our requests.
