The American Shipbuilding Suppliers Association recently named their new Board of Directors


Washington, District of Columbia – January 28, 2019 – The American Shipbuilding Suppliers Association (ASSA) recently named their new Board of Directors for the association. Christopher Cikanovich, President of CEI Consulting Services, is the new Chair of the Board of Directors. ASSA also named two new members to the Board of Directors, Star Dillard, President of CEPEDA Associates, and Bob Coates, Vice President of Business Development with L3 Power Distribution.

ASSA Board of Directors members continuing on with a leadership role in the association include: Carl Fisher, ASSA Founder and Senior Director of Business Development Marine with Marotta Controls, Patrick Marotta, President and CEO of Marotta Controls, Todd Leavitt, VP Maritime Systems for Northrop Grumman Corp., Marc Steiner, General Manager of KITCO Fiber Optics, Paul Roden, VP of Washington Operations with Fairbanks Morse, Ted Hack of Ted Hack Consulting, and Mike Coulter, Senior VP of Business Development and President of Leonardo DRS.

​“We are so pleased to have a good mix of new members joining the board combined with the continued support from some of our existing board members,” said Laura Haas, ASSA Chief Executive Officer. “They are true leaders within their own organizations and in our industry, and I am excited to see the impact they will have on both our association and the shipbuilding supplier industry as a whole.”

As a member driven organization, American Shipbuilding Suppliers Association (ASSA), advocates for the US shipbuilding supplier community directly to Congress, the Navy and the Coast Guard on industry-wide issues.
